Sharon and Stan Hammond
We are Realtors because we love houses, love helping people make informed and empowered decisions about buying, selling, maintaining and remodeling houses, and we love working together.
In the 70's and 80's we bought, repaired, renovated, rented and sold houses, doing all the work ourselves. Stan also did other contracting work. So we really do know houses, from foundations to roofs, from wiring to windows, because if it can be done to a house, we have probably don it ourselves at one time or another.
Our background is in the helping professions. Stan has a degree in Abnormal Psychology from SF State (very useful since the real estate process has been known to drive people a bit crazy at times!). Sharon has a BA in Humanities from Michigan State University and an MS in Counseling from Cal State East Bay. Stan worked with adult schizophrenics and teenage wards of the court, while Sharon taught pre-school and adult ed and worked for non profits. Then we had children and Stan went off to what he likes to call "corporate America," which he never much cared for. Finally we decided we didn't have enough time together as a couple or a family, so we went back to our first great adventure - houses.
We have been licensed agents since 1989 and with Wells and Bennett since 1993. We have been company Top Ten Producers every year since 1993 and the vast majority of our business is repeat clients and referrals and recommendations from past clients.
We've built a very satisfying business and an excellent reputation what we think of as the "old fashioned way" - by taking the very best care we know how of each client, from the start to finish and beyond. Once you work with us we consider you client for life and we are available to consult and advise about real estate questions, home repair questions, property tax questions, what ever you need.
We listen, we advise...you decide...and we're with you every step of the way. We'd love to get to know you and see if we can be of service.
Stan and Sharon
PS
We have never, ever, not even once wanted to be a brand.
